Early Years Foundation Stage

The EYFS has been developed in order that all children in a pre-school environment are monitored in a more uniformed way than in the past, thus allowing the observations about the childs many aspects of development to be collated and taken into the early years of their formal education.

I will observe and note many aspects of your childs development using photographs, notes and some physical evidence.

A few Examples of Observations :

Your child eats baked beans from a bowl with a spoon unaided for the first time.

Your child sorts shapes into the correct holes in the shape sorter, joins lego together or does a jisgaw puzzle for the first time.

Your child starts to paint facial feature on a drawing.

Your child starts to roll, crawl, walk, run, talk, copy sounds etc.
